Visitors may tour the 1860 Courthouse, the 1887 Church, the One Room Schoolhouse, the Old Settler’s House, the Potter Barn, the Sugar Cane Mill and Smokehouse, the Wiggins Store, a blacksmith shop, a 1913 Baldwin Steam locomotive, the Fogarty Boatworks and a Cowhunter Bunkhouse (open for special events). All of the buildings are furnished with period furniture and artifacts. There is also a museum and gift shop in the Wiggins Store. Adjacent to the Historical Park are the old Manatee Burying Grounds, where many of Manatee County’s founding members are laid to rest. If you are interested in seeing the cemetery, please see a staff member, on the second floor of the Wiggins Store, for a key.
